If you’ve ever googled “what is liposuction,” “how does liposuction work,” or “liposuction recovery time,” “liposuction near me” or if you’re simply curious about the types of liposuction, this blog is for you!

Liposuction has been sought out by men and women for decades. Liposuction isn’t for everyone, though. Liposuction is a surgical procedure during which fat is removed from some regions of the body via suctioning it out. The most common areas people choose the liposuction procedure to be done to are stomach/abdomen area, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms, and/or neck. Liposuction is not to be relied upon for weight loss. If you’re looking to lose weight, a nutrient-dense meal plan and consistent exercise should be your first (and consistent) efforts. Liposuction is great for people with consistent body weight but an excess of fat in certain areas of the body. Liposuction can also be used for breast reduction. Liposuction procedures come with either local or general anesthesia, as well as a recovery time of a few weeks or more. You may need pain medicine or even antibiotics afterward (to reduce the risk of infection). You’ll wear tight compression garments to help keep the swelling down for a few weeks.

If that sounds like more than you’ve bargained for….keep reading!

Liposuction has been effective for a long time but let me tell you about BeautiFill. BeautiFill is an alternative to liposuction and is quickly gaining popularity amongst clients for its cutting-edge contouring that can remove fat from an unwanted area and transfer it to an area where a little extra oomph is wanted after the fat has been purified. For example, you may have an excess of fat around your thighs but think your eyes and cheeks are sunken and too thin. BeautiFill will take the excess and place it where it needs to go. If you’ve got excess and don’t want to transfer it to another spot on your body, it’s BeautiFill that can get rid of it for you.

BeautiFill is different from liposuction in that a laser is used to extricate the fat cells, making them much easier to move and remove. This is ideal, compared to traditional liposuction, because it protects the tissue around the fat and is proven to cause less damage on said tissue. A BeautiFill procedure also reduces the swelling after the removal or transfer of the fat. Clients also saw a much shorter recovery time. Let me give you a few reasons to choose BeautiFill (which you can do here at our office!):

  • No general anesthesia is needed, just a local anesthetic
  • Less swelling post-op
  • Quicker recovery time
  • More consistent results due to a less invasive procedure

Like Liposuction, BeautiFill can be done to the abdomen/stomach, hips, thighs, and buttocks. Here at Majestic, we can also use BeautiFill on love handles, muffin top, flanks, cheeks, lips, and neck!

How long does BeautiFill last? I’m glad you asked! Fat removals and transfers via BeautiFill last between five and ten years. It’s a known fact that when fat is transferred, some will inevitably be absorbed by the body, which makes it even more important that you know the size and shape of the contouring you want after the fat has transferred, been absorbed, and the swelling has ceased.

The combination of liposuction, cosmetic fat transfer, and the tightening of skin all in *one* appointment is changing the lives of men and women around the world! So don’t wait any longer – click here to schedule your consultation for BeautiFill today!
