Hello Majestic community! As summer is in full swing, it’s high time to talk about one thing we all adore yet can challenge our skin – the beautiful summer sun. We understand that a good summer day goes hand-in-hand with sunbathing, picnics, and outdoor activities. But, do you know the impact of these indulgences on your skin?

Fear not! Here at Majestic Aesthetics and Wellness Medspa, we are committed to helping you navigate through the maze of skin care in this sun-soaked season.

Hydrate Inside and Out

As the temperature rises, so does the need for hydration – both inside and out. Drink plenty of water and eat water-rich foods to keep your body and skin hydrated from within. Apply a hydrating moisturizer daily, and consider a hydrating facial treatment to help lock in that much-needed moisture. Our Hydrafacial treatment is a favorite among clients for providing a thorough hydration boost while also cleansing and exfoliating.

Embrace Sunscreen

The importance of sunscreen cannot be overemphasized! Opt for a broad-spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. For those who sweat or swim, a water-resistant option is essential. And remember, reapplication every two hours is crucial, especially between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. when the sun’s rays are the most potent.

Say YES to Antioxidants

Add a topical antioxidant, such as Vitamin C serum, to your morning routine. Antioxidants neutralize harmful free radicals caused by sun exposure, pollution, and other factors, protecting your skin and enhancing its natural radiance.

Exfoliate, but Don’t Overdo

Exfoliation is a great way to get rid of dead skin cells and achieve a brighter complexion. It’s especially beneficial in summer when sweat, sunscreen, and outdoor grime can clog pores. Be careful not to over-exfoliate, as this can strip the skin of its natural oils and cause irritation. As a rule of thumb, exfoliating 1-2 times per week is enough for most skin types.

Schedule Regular Facials

Our wide variety of facial treatments can help repair the damage caused by sun exposure. Each treatment is catered to your unique skin needs, providing gentle exfoliation, deep hydration, and the replenishment of essential nutrients. Monthly facials can keep your skin fresh, healthy, and glowing all summer long. Check out all of our facial treatments!
