#1: Wash your face twice a day.

The first step in any good skin care routine is cleansing. Washing your face twice a day – once in the morning and once at night – will help remove dirt, oil, and makeup that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Not sure how to wash your face? #2: Use products that are right for your skin type.

One size does NOT fit all when it comes to skin care. That’s why it’s important to use products that are formulated specifically for your skin type. Not sure what your skin type is? #3: Don’t forget the sunscreen!

We know you’ve heard it a million times before, but sunscreen is non-negotiable – even if you don’t plan on spending time outdoors. UV rays from the sun can damage your skin, cause premature aging, and increase your risk of skin cancer. So make sure to apply sunscreen every day before you leave the house, even if it’s just for school or running errands. And reapply throughout the day as needed, especially if you’re sweating or swimming. We love the UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46. It is oil-free and helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts associated with acne and rosacea. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin. Very lightweight and silky, it may be worn with makeup or alone. Choose from tinted and untinted formulas for use every day.

#4: Drink plenty of water.

Drinking plenty of water helps keep your whole body healthy – including your skin! When you’re properly hydrated, your skin will be plumper and less likely to show fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, staying hydrated helps flush toxins out of your system, which can also lead to better skin health. aim to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day – more if you exercise frequently or live in a hot climate.

#5: Get enough sleep & manage stress levels.

Getting enough sleep and managing stress levels are both important for maintaining clearskin . When you’re tired or stressed, your body produces more cortisol – a hormone that can trigger breakouts . So make sure you’re getting at least eight hours of sleep per night, and find ways to manage stress during the day (exercise, deep breathing, journaling, etc.).

Proper skin care is essential for all teenagers – both boys and girls! By following the simple tips above, you can help keep your skin looking its best now and in the future.
